People keep asking the question, why shouldn't Hillary Clinton be the Vice Presidential nominee, just as they asked why shouldn't Hillary Clinton be President. Don't you think we have had enough bushes and clintons to last us a lifetime?

Well, not according to smut-master, Jerry Springer, who was the guest on the 'news' programs last night, insisting that Hillary DESERVES to be and MUST be chosen to be vice president. The question is ... why were they asking Jerry Springer.

I have posted about this before, but I think it bears repeating.

Old Man Bush, George H W Bush, was Vice President for EIGHT years under President Reagan, after he had already held nearly every position in the country, including head of the CIA and Ambassador to the United Nations. Not to mention his shady little oil venture, linked to the JFK conspiracy. He had been running for President against Reagan before he ended up as Reagan's Vice President. President Reagan was almost assassinated during that time ... what a coincidence. Then Old Man Bush was President for FOUR years. He lost his bid for a second term to Bill Clinton, which is why there was an overthrow of our government in 2000, when Junior decided he was going to TAKE the presidency back to avenge his father's loss of a second term.

Bill Clinton was Governor of Arkansas for TWELVE years, and President for EIGHT years. Then he teamed up with his former arch-enemy, Old Man Bush, for charity, and later tried to get his wife installed so he could have a third term as CO-President.

The unelected fraud, Connecticut-born dictator sissypants, was installed as Governor of Texas, probably illegally, for about SIX years, by trashing Governor Ann Richards and using Karl Rove's bag of dirty tricks. He then participated in the overthrow of the government to get himself installed illegitimately in the White House, twice, for a total of EIGHT years.

Dictator sissypants' brother, Jeb bush, was installed as Governor of Florida for EIGHT years. He isn't from Florida. He and geedubya controlled Florida and Texas at the SAME TIME.  And Jeb Bush was Governor of Florida during the fraudulent election of 2000 that resulted in the installation of his own brother into the White House. Were his brother not a total disaster, Jeb Bush WOULD have been running for President himself, now.

Babs Bush, the 'mother of compassionate conservatism', wife of Old Man Bush and mother of a gang of notorious international criminals, was 2nd Lady for EIGHT years, FIRST Lady for FOUR years, and continues to display her enormous pride in the 'accomplishments' of her spawn.

Laura Bush, who ran into her ex-boyfriend with a car and killed him, was First Lady of Texas for SIX years, First Lady of the United States for EIGHT years. Her favorite song is 'Stand by yer man'.

Hillary Clinton, attorney and political activist, was First Lady of Arkansas for TWELVE years, First Lady of the United States for EIGHT years, and has been a Senator from the state of New York, where she was not born, for SEVEN years and counting, where she voted to authorize an illegal, immoral war, and refused to admit she was wrong. She then ran for president, and failed to win the nomination, but just barely. Now she is being jammed down the throat of America as though she and she alone deserves to be Vice President.

Okay, let's count that up.  There has been a bush or clinton in the White House for twenty years now ... bush 4, clinton 8, bush jr 8.

If you count Old Man Bush's EIGHT years as VP under Reagan, that's TWENTY EIGHT YEARS.

If you count Hillary possibly having had EIGHT years as prez, or the still possible EIGHT years as Vice President ... that is THIRTY SIX YEARS that they would have been running the country.

Those 2 families controlled the state of Texas, the state of Arkansas, and the state of Florida, for a total of 26 years, combined.

And, if you consider that Hillary would be a "heartbeat away from the presidency" as vice president .... we are right back where we started.

The other day, I actually heard someone talking about Chelsea Clinton having interest in getting into politics. So they are grooming her to take up where her father and mother left off?  Who's next ... Jeb Bush's son ... ANOTHER GEORGE BUSH?

This "dynasty" business is for the birds. There should be legislation so that no one can run for president who is directly related to or married to a president for at least SEVERAL generations.  

On the other hand, I think it would be so cool if Obama would choose Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of President John F Kennedy, who is heading up Obama's VP search, as his running mate. Now how historic would THAT be? It will never happen, but in her, you have a woman, no slouch herself, an attorney, author, and President of the JFK Foundation, whose father and uncle were both champions for civil rights and both martyred like Martin Luther King, running WITH an African American of mixed race, whose acceptance speech for the official nomination coincides with the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech.  That would be something, indeed.

Is that a contradiction of my "this dynasty business is for the birds", assertion? Not really, because President Kennedy was murdered before he could finish his term in office, and his brother, Robert F Kennedy, was murdered while running for the Presidency. Their younger brother, Ted Kennedy, ran for the presidency and lost. It has been 45 years since a Kennedy was in the White House. As a wife and mother of 3, however, I doubt very seriously if Caroline would even consider such a thing, even if she were asked, simply because she would not want to put her family through the fear that what happened to JFK and RFK might happen to her, as well. 

It's a nice dream, though, isn't it? A REAL dream ticket.

 

Some of you may remember a recent post I made about the return of the horror show ... The Thing that Wouldn't Die ... starring Tom Daschle, the potted plant who handed bush the Iraq war on a platter. This is the story of a sissyfied republican-in-democratic clothing, who voted to authorize giving bush war powers, and got thrown out of office as a result. The Thing that Wouldn't Die first reared its ugly head by threatening to run for President, but gave it up after the public nearly died laughing. Next he began to pop up as a talking head, interjecting his 'expert opinions' on various news programs.

Recently, he surfaced as the co-chair of Barack Obama's campaign, despite the fact that he was one of the people most responsible for the illegal, immoral war in Iraq, having been Senate Majority Leader at the time of his vote, and despite the fact that his wife is a bigtime lobbyist, benefiting from Daschle's seat in Congress, and that he has been a lobbyist himself.

Now comes another sequel ... The Thing that Wouldn't Die has now been mentioned as a name on the short list for Obama's Vice Presidential running mate. Excuse me while I go rip my hair out by the roots.

Let me say that I realize, despite misgivings that many people, including myself, have about certain things that Obama has said and done (promising to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, and saber rattling at AIPAC with threats toward Iran, for a couple of examples), that we have no choice other than to vote for him, for one reason ... Supreme Court Justice Nominations. But if he is dumb enough to pick this loser for his Vice President, a lot of us are really going to have a hard time holding our nose long enough to vote for him. Daschle stinks to high heaven, and the best thing Obama could do is to get rid of this skunk before he ruins the garden party. Daschle as VP will guarantee President McBush.

Correction - I said out of that lineup, my choice would be Joe Biden. Scratch that - he also voted to authorize the Iraq war.

God, I love Bill Moyers.  My hero.  Watch as a little twit from Fox "News" attempts to ambush Bill Moyers, and gets some of his own medicine.

At the National Conference for Media Reform 2008, a producer for FOX's The O'Reilly Factor, Porter Barry, ambushes PBS's Bill Moyers and peppers him with questions regarding his political affiliations and his "refusal" to appear on O'Reilly's show. Moyers disputes FOX's "facts" for the record and asks to interview someone at The O'Reilly Factor about Rupert Murdoch and the show's coverage during the run-up to the invasion of Iraq. The journalist crowd then reacts, chasing down Barry and intentionally giving him a dose of FOX-style bullying reportage.

Dan Rather has always been my favorite news man. I remember him reporting from the front lines in Vietnam, and dangerous locations all over the world. He was a REAL reporter, and absolutely fearless. I do believe that he was always the most ethical of the major news anchors during his time at CBS. He has been on other TV shows, expressing his concerns over the direction of the media, and admitting to his own failings, but of all the mainstream anchors, he and Walter Cronkite would rank as the two that I would trust the most. Dan Rather was literally run out of his job by a bunch of fascists online, who discredited him with bogus information when he tried to expose bush as having gone AWOL from the National Guard.  He DID go AWOL, and to this day, he is STILL AWOL. To quote Dan Rather from a Larry King interview, "The truth of this story stands up to this day".  But, even though thousands of us knew it was true, and the information was all over the internet, the corporate media, controlled by the bush dictatorship, were willing to allow the scabs on a rightwing nazi website to force them to get rid of Dan Rather, after 44 years! When he talks about it, you can tell that it still hurts him, that his career with CBS ended in such a way. But now he is trying to add to the many voices who are speaking out about the insidious media monopolies, and I welcome such a powerful voice to help restore freedom of the press.

Dan Rather Slams Press Coverage Of War And Corporate News

Dan Rather addressed the 2008 National Conference On Media Reform in Minneapolis on Saturday, where he warned of the dangers of corporate media ownership. Rather told the crowd:

Now, I have spent my entire life in for-profit news, and I happen to think that it does not have to be this way. I have worked for news owners who, while they may have regarded their news divisions as an occasional irritant, chose to turn that irritant into a pearl of public trust. But today, sadly, it seems that the conglomerates that have control over some of the biggest pieces of this public trust would just as soon spit that irritant out.

I want you all to do me a favor. Go write a lot of emails to MSNBC and tell them to GET RID of that scumbag, Harold Ford. For those of you who don't know, or have forgotten, FORMER Congressman Harold Ford is a miserable little weasel who sucked up to the bushnazis and stabbed his own party in the back countless times. His reward for doing that was to be thrown out of office on his fat head.  Now, MSNBC has hired Harold as a political commentator, and substitute fill-in co-host. He is a floater ... that is, they move him around to fill in on various political shows to chime in with his two cents on 'issues'. Okay, ladies, it's time to act like adults and stop acting like george bush. He wanted to "win" whether he won or not, too. And he didn't care if it tore the country apart or shredded the Constitution ... he thought he was entitled to win at any cost. And it cost us all plenty.

Up until 2000, it has been traditional in the United States for the winner to actually win, and the loser to actually realize they lost. As soon as the loser loses, they generally congratulate the winner, and then they go away quietly. The loser does not get to decide when the winner wins. The winner wins when they get a total of whatever number they are supposed to get. The loser can't reschedule. The loser does not get time to rewind, refresh, restore, or get it together. They don't get to give their supporters time to adjust or get a grip, the supporters just have to suck it up. They don't get several days before they give the go-ahead for the winner to win. That would be a real downer. They don't get secret meetings to decide what to do, because once they lose, they are already a loser, and therefore things have already been decided. If you don't admit you are the loser for several days, that makes you a SORE loser. Or, in george bush's case, it makes you an unelected fraud.

Now, some say that 18 million Hillary voters are in mourning and/or really, really ticked off. I am not sure I believe that many people would be that sad over Hillary, but I'll take your word for it.

So I am going to tell you all the reason that you need to vote for Obama, anyway, whether you are still in sackcloth and ashes, or not.

Several of the Supreme Court Justices are old and decrepit, and more than one is likely to retire or die in the next few years. (sorry Supremes, but I think you already know you are older than dirt, so it shouldn't come as a shock).  Whomever is President when that happens is going to be the person to nominate new Supreme Court Justices.  Supreme Court Justices have LIFETIME APPOINTMENTS, so they are likely to still be hanging around long after some of us are gone, and the decisions they make can affect all of us for decades ... even generations. If you vote for a republican, they are going to appoint the most radical, rightwing fascists they can find. With a majority of rightwing nuts on the court, they are going to wipe out Roe v Wade, any chance of stem cell research, as many other women's rights as possible, separation of church and state, checks and balances or what little is left of them, and much, much, more. Anything that smacks of liberty and justice for all ... they are against it.

So, it really doesn't matter whether you are in mourning over Hillary, because if you don't vote for Obama, you can kiss your rights goodbye forever. And I promise you that if you put that wrinkled, demented, creepy little McCain in there out of revenge for your "loss", you are going to leave your children and grandchildren living in a neverending nightmare.

You need a reason to get over it? That's it. This vote is more important than you and Hillary. The fate of your country depends on it.  

SO GET OVER IT, ALREADY. Sorry for your "loss".
